Learning Alvys Driver Companion

Arko Trans dispatches every load through Alvys, and you'll manage your side of it from the Driver Companion app on your phone — trips, check-ins, documents, and pay. Work through each module below, then finish the short knowledge check. It takes about 10 minutes.

Module 1

Why we use Alvys

Official Alvys video: the driver app overview

Arko Trans runs its dispatch and load management through Alvys, a transportation management system (TMS). The Alvys Driver Companion app is your side of it — it puts your assigned loads, check-ins, paperwork, and pay right on your phone, so dispatch doesn't have to call and read you stop details over the phone.

Trip & load details
Check-in / check-out
Documents & pay

This orientation covers logging in, reading your trip list, checking in and out at stops, uploading documents, and getting paid — everything you need for your first dispatched load.

Before your first shiftArko Trans has to set up your driver profile in Alvys before you can log in. If you try to log in and nothing happens, that's usually why — call dispatch.
Module 2

Installing & logging in

Browse Alvys's official training playlist for installation & login
  1. Download the app. Search "Alvys" in the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android) and install Alvys: Driver Companion.
  2. Check your device. You'll need Android 8 or newer, or iOS 15 or newer. If you see "This app won't work for your device," your OS is too old or the device has been modified (rooted/jailbroken).
  3. Open the app and enter your cell phone number. Your phone number is your login — there's no separate username or password to create.
  4. Accept the app's permissions (location, camera, notifications) when prompted, so check-ins, document photos, and dispatch alerts all work correctly.
Can't log in?If entering your number doesn't let you through, your Arko Trans driver profile probably hasn't been created in Alvys yet. That's a dispatch/admin step, not something wrong with your phone — call dispatch and they'll get you set up.
Module 3

Your status & your trips

Browse Alvys's official training playlist for trip status

In the top-left corner of the app is a toggle for Online or Offline. This is how dispatch knows whether you're available for a load.

Online

You're actively working and available for assignments. Dispatch can see you and assign trips.

Offline

You're on break or off the clock. Dispatch won't assign you new loads.

Your home screen lists your assigned and upcoming trips, each showing pickup/delivery locations, scheduled times, and any special instructions. Tap a trip to open its full Load Details.

Module 4

Checking in, checking out, and getting there

Browse Alvys's official training playlist for check-in/check-out
  1. Getting close? Once you're within about 10 miles of a pickup or delivery facility, update your status in the app to check in — this notifies dispatch and the facility automatically.
  2. Check out when you're done at that stop, the same way, so the load status moves forward for everyone tracking it.
  3. Tap to navigate. Tap the Navigate icon on any stop and the app hands off to your preferred navigation app (Google Maps, Apple Maps, or CoPilot if you have it) with the address already loaded.
Some facilities check you in automaticallyIf Arko Trans has geofencing set up for a location, your check-in/check-out can happen automatically as you arrive and leave — you may not need to tap anything at all there.
Module 5

Uploading your paperwork

Official Alvys video: how to submit your documents

Bills of Lading, Proof of Delivery, and accessorial receipts all get uploaded right from the load in the app — no need to text or email photos to anyone.

  1. Open the load you're working on from your trip list.
  2. Go to the Documents tab inside that load.
  3. Tap Upload to start adding a document.
  4. Choose Camera or Gallery — take a new photo or pick an existing one.
  5. Make sure the document is clearly visible in the frame before you capture it, then submit.
Why it mattersDocuments uploaded right after the stop mean billing (and your pay) moves faster. A blurry or missing document is one of the most common reasons a load gets held up.
Module 6

Getting paid & getting help

Browse Alvys's official training playlist for pay & e-checks
💵 Paystubs

View your past paystubs and pay history right in the app — no need to wait for a mailed copy.

🎫 E-checks

An e-check is a digital payment code issued against a load. Redeem it at participating truck stops and fuel desks just like a Comcheck.

📵 "App won't work for your device"

Your OS is too old, unsupported, or the device is rooted/jailbroken. You'll need a supported device to run the app.

🔒 Can't log in

Almost always means your driver profile isn't set up in Alvys yet. Call dispatch, don't just keep retrying.

Arko Trans dispatch(270) 843-2222 — save this number before your first trip. For anything the app itself is doing wrong (not a setup issue), dispatch can loop in Alvys support.
